Together for the education guarantee is an ESF funded project focusing on vocational upper secondary education in the Helsinki-Uusimaa region.

The aim of the project is to identify practices and measures taken by the vocational upper secondary education providers for the implementation of the education guarantee in Helsinki-Uusimaa region. The project studies existing cooperation networks between the education providers and other public sector actors concerning education information and advisory services for young people.

In the project a new operational model for councelling students and potential students is created. A common, regional operational model for the councelling of young people aims at more effective education information and advisory services. Thus it contributes to the implementation of the so-called national education guarantee that promotes access to education and training for young people under 25 years or graduated persons under 30 years. As a result, the access to education will be improved for young people, their exclusion will be prevented, and cooperation between vocational upper secondary schools in the region will increase.

Uusimaa Regional Council is the responsible authority for the implementation and coordination of the project, working together with 20 partnering vocational upper secondary education providers. The project duration is two years (2015-2016).
